In a season of consolidation, Stratasys has welcomed their second acquisition in recent memory by acquiring UK-based RP Support Ltd, a provider of industrial SLA (stereolithography) 3D printers and solutions.
The industrial stereolithography systems market is estimated at approximately $150 million and is expected to grow at a rate of approximately 10% per year based on internal analysis and industry estimates.
Prior to the acquisition, Stratasys only had a sole SLA printer, V650 Flex, in their portfolio and this move further expands their SLA offering. RPS systems include the NEO 800 and NEO 450 which are open to third party resins.
While all NEO systems are Industry 4.0-ready with Titanium control software, Stratasys have plans to integrate their GrabCAD Print workflow software into future product versions.

The acquisition of RPS comes on the back of a recent deal announced last December where they had acquired 3D printing company, Origin, for $100m.
