From steering wheels to side emblems, Kindig It Design has relied on the Stratasys Fortus 450mc Production 3D printer to help design, build, produce, and restore different models and cars from many periods. The company has been able to utilize the printer to print all their customizable parts, while using different materials depending on the intended functionality.

One of their most popular customized cars is the ’60 Copper Candy, where the steering wheel, center console armrest, and even the hideaway door that conceals dashboard switches, were all additively manufactured using ULTEM 9085 resin, which is known for their durability and strength.

To make them stand out befitting of the Kindig It vibe, the parts were then sanded, painted, and sometimes wrapped in fabric to create a custom look.
