Comprising of composite materials with predetermined mechanical properties, the dual material jetting Objet Connex 3D Printers provide an exclusive capability of fabricating Digital Materials. Digital Materials are processed in the 3D printer, along with two standard PolyJet photopolymers combined in specific concentrations and structures to provide the desired mechanical and visual properties.
Each of the 100-plus Digital Materials is based on various combinations of the 17 primary PolyJet photopolymers. You can also replicate standard plastics similar to engineering-grade ABS with Digital Materials. A single prototype, created in one build process, can contain as many as 14 distinct material properties.
