Additive Manufacturing for Orthopaedic Implants

Arcam Q10 represents the 3rd generation EBM technology. This EBM machine is developed specifically for cost-efficient manufacturing and is applicable for industrial production of small to medium-sized components with fine details, such as orthopaedic implants. It is designed to meet the high productivity, high resolution, user friendliness and quality control requirements of the implant industry. The size of the build area is chosen to allow for optimal stacking of the most common implant types, and the build chamber interior is developed for easy powder handling and fast turn-around times.

Arcam Q10 replaces the Arcam A1 system with several additional new features for a higher productivity and improved resolution.

Including an all-new EB gun, Arcam LayerQam™ is an add-on to Arcam’s new camera-based monitoring system for inline part quality verification. There is also an option given to deliver with a new powder recovery system (PRS) for closed powder handling.
